Hi there! My name is Diana David and I am the proud owner of The Pawsitive Pet In-Home Pet Sitting, serving North County, San Diego. The Pawsitive Pet is fully insured, certified and licensed. Besides being an accredited (Pet Sitters International) pet sitter I am a certified dog and cat groomer and canine massage therapist. I am also the North County Pet Examiner for Examiner.com for which I write informative articles on pet care and local pet businesses. I have over 20 years in the pet care industry. I started my pet sitting business due to the great need for in home pet care.
I grew up on a farm in Tucson, Arizona where I showed livestock
in 4-H and showed Morgans and Saddlebred Horses in the DSHA
and ASHA divisions. I now live in Oceanside with my husband, Mike
and my son Zach along with an array of animals including: Belle,
a coyote hybred mix, Earl, an Old English Sheep Dog,
Al,(short of Alpaca cuz she walks like one!) a crazy kitty and any number of foster animals from local shelters.
I have worked extensively with all kinds of domestic and wild animals in county shelters, pet hotels, retail pet stores and non-profit associations. During this time I have seen the best and the worst treatment of pets and livestock. My mission is to keep pets safe, loved, healthy and happy while their "parents" are away and to give back to the community by educating the public on the importance of respecting and properly caring for pets and animals in general.
